Great Teacher Gift!

We absolutely love St. Jeans candied salmon! I placed my order and received this beautiful Tin within days of ordering. The School year is coming to an end so I decided to add this tin to my regular order as a Teacher Gift! Very Happy with our purchases!

This was a great gift, received a bit late but showed up all the same. The candied salmon was a bit discolored but tasted delicious. Looks like they were once strips going into the pouch but must have been all mashed together when vacuumed. That being said, we ended up just mashing it together ourselves with some mayo and spreading on crackers and was perfect for dinner party!

Part number 2085. Worst salmon I have ever had. Guts, bones and goo. My cat wouldn't even eat it and the feral cats in the hood wouldn't either. Fritz, the big head neighbor cat who eats anything (just like Mikey) did and he vomited it all over the porch. I have seen punkin head (Fritz) eat his own crap and not throw up. It was all grey and black and slimy. The salmon, not his poo. After I opened the tin. Oh my. Cut the pouch open expecting a brilliant smoked salmon. Instead it looked like a dead rotting alien from, well, the movie alien. Only a tiny alien like one of those popping out someone's stomach without any blood. And just so you all know, this was a gift. And yes it was from a friend who lives just a few miles from your slaughterhouse and I will never tell them how I feel or our experience because they sent it as a huge thank you and with the love of their family. So I just thanked him profusely and lied about how good it was. I like him and his family more than even good salmon. How dare you serve this stuff? I would be embarrassed to put this in a pouch or a tin. It looks like something scraped out of the hold of a fishing boat. Would be happy to send a photo but am afraid it would break the lens. And by the way, I have fished salmon for more than thirty years and I know what I am saying. Sure I live in Georgia now but it hasn't always been that way. So before you write me off as a jerk or a complainer, I don't complain about much. Never have. All companies have good days and not so good. But in this case you owe him his families money back. It may not be much money to you but he works every day very hard to support his family and this is an entire diner price for all of them. They did it as a thank you. He and his wife didn't owe it. They thought they were doing a good thing which is how I take it. I do like the tin though. If only the salmon were as good as the tin. This message is real and you don't need to get back to me. That is cool. But I figure if nobody really replied to review this, nothing would change. I hope you look into this for product quality control and not take this as a complaint. Just what we experienced.

Fantastic fresh smoked pink salmon. Paired with a cracker and cream cheese for the ultimate appetizer. Or eat it all on its own. The hard part is not eating it all too fast.
