Delicious. Shopped very quickly. I needed theis shipped to an address different from billing and St. Jeans was very accommodating.
I received 24 cans of your smoked albacore tuna this week. It just so happened that I went to the mailbox and there was a key in my box so that I could retrieve your delivery from the compartment below. I have one of those community mailboxes so the product was not delivered to my doorstep. This means that the product could have sat in this metal box for days, as I do not check my mail daily. ’cause it’s a metal box the heat that the tuna cans could be exposed to might be exceptionally high, perhaps even in the 40°C range. The Google response to the concern of the cans being exposed to this type of temperature is as follows; “The high heat in a car won’t breach the commercial sterilization process. However, extreme temperatures can degrade the flavor, texture, and nutritional value.” My suggestion is that there should be a tracking option. This way I would know when they were delivered and I would be able to retrieve them in a timely manner.
The other concern I have is that two of the cans were dented. I don’t think it’s a big issue, but I think they were dented before being put into the box and were missed when being packaged. I assume your quality control would be that any cans dented would not be shipped. I don’t believe they were dented during shipment, as none of the other cans were dented and there was no damage to the box. I haven’t opened up any of the cans yet, but the product is always top notch, I trust that they will be fine.
This is delicious, perfect for lunches
